Questions
What families ask us
Do you take my insurance?
Dental plans treat orthodontics differently from cleanings. How fees work lists the plan types we work with and says how we file claims, and Tanisha checks your benefits before your first visit.
What if I do not have insurance?
You get a written estimate for the whole course before treatment starts, and we go over what it includes.
Do you accept Medicaid or CHIP?
We are not enrolled in either program. If you are unsure which plan you have, call us and we will help you read your card.
Will it hurt?
Teeth are often sore for a few days after braces go on and after some adjustments. We tell you what to expect and what helps, and you can call us if soreness does not ease.
Do I still need my own dentist?
Yes. Cleanings, fillings and exams stay with your dentist during treatment, and we send them a note with your permission.
At what age should my child have a first check?
Orthodontists commonly suggest around age seven. The doctor tells you whether to wait, watch or plan, and nothing is started at that visit.
What counts as an orthodontic emergency?
A wire that pokes, a loose bracket or a lost aligner tray: call us and we tell you what to do until you are seen. If you have trouble breathing or swallowing, or your face is swelling, call 911.
Do you offer sedation?
No. Orthodontic visits are done awake, and most do not involve numbing. If one needs it, the doctor says so first.
Can I get a written estimate before treatment?
Yes, and we give one to everyone paying without insurance without being asked. It lists each stage we expect and what the fee covers.
Does anyone speak a language besides English?
Dr. Zaytoun speaks English and Arabic, and Jomar Reyes speaks English and Tagalog.
How do I cancel or change a visit?
Call or text the front desk. We ask for a day’s notice when you can give it, and we will find the next time that fits.
How long does treatment take?
It depends on the case. The doctor gives you a range at the first visit and tells you what could make it longer or shorter, with no promise.
